FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions Answered by Patrick David Yanello, Receiver/Founder
WELCOME MESSAGE TO STUDENTS & MTP CANDIDATES
from Patrick David Yanello, Receiver/Founder
Welcome to the Free Bible School! Thank you for reading my answers to your FAQ's. They will help you to understand the purpose and boundaries of this ministry. The main goal of this ministry is to help you to grow in the Christian faith and for some to become equipped and enabled to help others do the same, not to grant or award any titles or degrees. Therefore, you will quickly notice that my answers to your questions are different than the world's answers to religious education. But this is not for the sake of being different, no, not at all. My answers have to be different because my Lord said not to copy-cat the world. Instead He said to be metamorphosized from it like a butterfly by the word of God in order to please Him, not the world (Ro 12:2). So it is because of my faith in the commandments of Christ over the commandments and expectations of worldly men that my answers are stated this way. I believe and pray that if you truly want God's will for your life, you will amen or come to agree with the main points of what I am saying below, for God's will should not offend any of us who truly want to seek Him and His ways. -- In Jesus' Name, Your Brother Pat

ACCREDITATIONS
Are You Accredited?
-
I believe that government accreditation agencies are not qualified to credit or discredit this Christian ministry, because, obviously, they are not Christian.
- I believe that even Christian accreditation agencies are not authorized by God to credit or discredit this ministry because firstly, they most certainly follow the world's pattern and standards for accreditation, yet claim to be Christian.
Secondly, Paul was wise enough to refuse to turn over his gospel ministry to certain Christians for fear it could be destroyed (Gal 2:2). Can you imagine, then, Paul turning his ministry over to the Gentiles, unbelievers, to be evaluated? I believe that he did not even turn it over to certain leading men in the church (Gal 2:2).
Third, does God accredit accreditation agencies? Think about it a little bit. Consider this carefully. Jesus, and His apostles, did not turn their ministry over to the government or even many leading religious men of that day or groups of religious men to be credited or discredited by them, for they both killed it (or should I say Him), or they tried to kill it on the cross. Can you imagine a Pharisee or Sadducee agency on accreditation? Don't be naive; similar animosity exists today.
- I believe it is wise not to seek the approval of the masses, or the approval of others for the masses. I believe that you yourself must evaluate this ministry-- the training, the curriculum, the opportunities--to see if it is accredited to you by God. You need to become your own one person "watch-dog" approval agency for the things in which you participate. And if you do not become competent to do so with the things that you are involved with, well then, you would be considered an infant. But you must grow up. Good news! I am convinced that this ministry can help you to do that in great measure, way beyond what you can even think of at this point.
DEGREES
What Degrees Do You Offer?
- I believe that Christianity must be kept from the world's pattern of awarding "degrees" of mastery. The kingdom of God is not like a karate belt system, where a person wears his colored belt of mastery around his waist so that everyone can see what he attained and to get respect for it. This would be contrary to the humility that Christianity requires of its members, for it also leads to a religious titling problem that I briefly repudiate later.
- I believe it is best to offer "Certificates of Completion" which attest to and honor your work and experience with this ministry, without granting you "degrees" and "titles". I believe that Christianity has callings, not "degrees" and "titles".
- I believe that each Christian needs to make a choice about his advancement in the kingdom of God. Will it be sought after through the worldly religious educational "degree" and "title" system or will it be according to God's word? You must decide. It is my earnest desire that this ministry help you in great measure with the latter.
DENOMINATIONS
What Denomination Are You?
- This is an independent Christian ministry, not a church. I believe it is best to distinguish it in this way from a particular church because a church and this ministry are two different things with different callings, responsibilities, and authority.
- I believe that the very individual being called by God to be equipped and enabled to minister the gospel through this ministry has the sole authority to conduct every aspect of it within their personal and independent field of work, not a church, not any other individual or group, including Patrick David Yanello or anyone or group related to him and his work. This is truly an independent ministry, not a hierarchy or "Amway" ministry.
- I believe that one of our main callings in this ministry is to enable eligible individuals to start or build an assembly [a church], not to primarily work with existing churches. Yet secondarily, at times we do work with existing churches.
FEES, COSTS, or TUITION
What Will It Cost Me to Attend Your School?
- There are no costs to attend this school.
- All materials--books, handouts, and certificates--are free.
- Those who organize, teach, and administer in this school do so at no charge to you. Freewill offerings are accepted.
LICENSING
Can You License Me to Perform Weddings and Funerals?
- I believe that a man's permission to minister the gospel comes from his faith vs. a license. Faith was the basis for Paul's ministering the gospel, for he said, "But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, 'I believed, therefore I spoke,' we also believe, therefore we also speak" (2 Cor 4:13). I believe it is the same spirit of faith that this ministry is based on. I believe that a man needs to seek after faith to be enabled to minister the gospel vs. something that the Lord does not offer him, a license. The basis of my own ministry is on faith, not permissions of men. I preach, I teach, I baptize, I lead worship, I speak at funerals, I counsel married couples, and more, on the basis of my faith in Jesus Christ, and nothing more. I am truly an example of this. Obviously, it is my calling. Truly, truly, faith is the license for ministry.
- I believe that it is commonly understood, a common sense understanding among peoples in general, that the one who presides at a funeral, meaning the one who is supposed to speak to the people on behalf of the deceased, is somehow connected to the family or relatives of the deceased by their church. Likewise, for marriage. The one who unites them, like God who united Adam and Eve in marriage, must have some sort of connection from church. So, it would be understood among the church people that certain men among them, called to minister the gospel to them, would be serving them at these two times in their lives, as well as in other events as well.
- I believe that you do not need a license from anyone to conduct a marriage or funeral in America (or perhaps in any other part of the world). It is only the two people who want to get married and them alone who are required by the government to get a license, not the one marrying them, the minister. America has established, in her founding documents, the freedom of religion, and especially meaning that the government will not be in charge of the church, as was suffered and witnessed in Europe before America came into being. So I believe that wanting to get licensed from the government to do weddings and funerals is a serious violation of our constitutional law on freedom of religion.
I believe that all you would ever need to show anyone to prove you are a minister who conducts the gospel (which could include marriages and speaking at funerals), is that the group of Christians to whom you are ministering, the church you serve, or simply some in that church, agree in writing that you are ministering the gospel to them and therefore would be a minister to them. There is no license required.
STATEMENTS OF FAITH
What Is Your Statement of Faith?
- I believe that no one should pin their faith on a man-made statement or uninspired document, or elevate such things over the Bible.
- I believe that God would want us to acknowledge only the Holy Scriptures as our true and complete statement of faith. It's only what He acknowledges to us, likewise Christ's apostles and prophets.
- I do not believe that any ministry, or person for that matter, should have, stick to, or proclaim a man-made statement of faith and require or ask others to do so. I believe that this would be in violation of what Jesus said about statements, to keep them as simple as a 'yes' or a 'no'. He indicated that wanting or expecting people to make statements beyond this would be of the evil one meaning not of God. I believe you should go through the classes yourself to evaluate the faith being represented herein.
TITLES, HONORARY
What Kind of Honorary Title Will I Receive after Completing Your Course of Study?
- I believe that it would be hypocritical for this ministry to cap its student's education with man-made religious titles, such as Reverend (Rev.), Doctor (Ph.D,), Master (MA), Father, Mother, etc. Likewise, I believe that it makes a person a hypocrite to receive these kinds of religious titles. Jesus said, "You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God" (Lk 16:15). Religious titles are highly esteemed by men, but God thinks that they are an abomination, for that is what detestable means. God specifically said that nothing abominable will be permitted to enter heaven (Re 21:8). This is a serious and weighty issue with God. Do not underestimate it like the Pharisees evidently did. Jesus told His disciples not to use religious titles (Mt 23:6-12), comparing people who do so to the hypocritical Pharisees. Instead He said that we are all brethren, meaning we are to be simply brother and sister, not mother and father, priest and layman, doctor and disciple, master and mediocre, leader and layman, etc. I am an evangelist, no doubt about it. And that is the correct characterization of my work, as well as it being somewhat pastoral. But when my fellow Christians start to call me "Pastor", "Reverend", "Evangelist", "Leader", or other titles, I simply tell them, "Call me brother". We are all brethren. I take this very seriously.
- I believe that the main goal of this ministry is to help you to grow in the Christian faith and for some to become equipped and enabled to help others do the same, not to grant or award any titles or degrees.
- I believe it is best to offer "Certificates of Completion" which attest to and honor your work and experience with this ministry, without granting you any "degrees" or "titles". I believe that Christianity has callings, not "degrees" and "titles".
